Great little pump   Date Of Review: November 2, 2009 Reviewed by: B. Oneil, El Cerrito, CA USA This pump is just the right size for my 500-gallon pond. I installed it a week ago and water clarity is already much better. Since it has 3 layers of filtration, including zeolite chips, it should keep ammonia levels from becoming toxic. Maintenance is easy. Before I installed it, I opened it up. It has one simple latch, and you can see everything inside without a lot of parts to detach. Unfortunately, it came without a manual, so I emailed the company. They were very responsive, and are in the process of putting manuals online. Hard to tell if my fish are indeed happier since I haven't asked them yet! Awesome Pump   Date Of Review: June 11, 2010 Reviewed by: J. Lehew, Love this pump system. I had a big algae problem and was using a pump with a prefilter in it and was not happy with it. I bought this pump system and within a few days my pond was cleared. Perfect for my size pond - about 400 gallons. The only thing is that it did not come with a manual. I have contacted the manufacturer but still have not received a manual. It is easy to take apart, but it takes over an hour each week to clean out all of the inside parts and put it back together. Stopped working about a week ago. I also did not receive a manual and when I asked the company to send me one, they never responded. Don't buy this pump system.

Designed for ponds up to 1,200 gallons, this low profile workhorse includes complete biological, mechanical and chemical filtration. Multiple layers of filter media trap sludge and sediment. Bio balls have surfaces that are beneficial for bacteria colonization. Zeolite chips remove ammonia. This unit even includes a submersible 9W UV clarifier! The 525 gph pump with integrated fountain nozzle produces a beautiful display. You also have the option to divert the water flow to waterfalls or spitters. Includes extra long 25' grounded cord.
