| I needed a new pump for a garden pond renovation...one that would produce a reasonable flow at about 4 feet of static head. This 400 gph pump produces about 200 gph at that head, fitting my needs. I had used Beckett pumps before and was really pleased with their performance. This was a great buy. |

| I purchased this pump for my pond because I had a Beckett pump previously that was A-1. It operated continuously without anything other than routine pond maintenance. Foolishly when that particular pump went bad, I purchased another brand which lasted all of three months. Never again, it's Beckett pumps for me. If this present pump lasts as long as the first, I will be jumping for joy. I just installed this pump two weeks ago, it is operating continuously and meeting all my expectations. I look forward to enjoying my pond for years to come, thanks to my Beckett pump. |

We goofed! We ordered the wrong pump, so I cant rate this product. However I will rate the seller. We placed the order, product came, asap, in excellent condition, and when we had to return it, they were great as well.
Refund immediate and no fuss. The seller had the best prices too! |

This fountain arrived just as pictured. Plug it in adjust the lily petals and off it goes. It does make a lovely sound ... it does not splash out of the bowl and is a good value for the money.
I can recommend it. It is well made and cerainly does the job. |
Beckett DP400 pond or fountain submersible pump

The Beckett DP400 was purchased for a wall mounted plaster fountain where water flows up from a reservior to a lion's head and into a small upper basin; then down from the small upper pool through slots back into the lower main reservoir.
The pump had more volume than could be modulated with the intake valve feature. The force of the water caused the water eject port to overshoot the fountain entirely. I should have done more research!
What I did notice, though, is that the pump was quite loud. Maybe when submerged into an actual pond, or if used in a large concrete fountain, there would be enough water and other material to insulate from that annoyance. TBD. |
