| Amazon has the older version that only comes with the sponge filter, which can wear out the pump when clogged. The newer unit comes with a basket filter that does not get "clogged". |

| Purchased this pump to replace my last Danner Pondmaster which ran 16 hours a day for six years without missing a beat. Hearty and well constructed. Perfect for my small 8 Gallon free standing fountain with waterfall. I expect another six years of uninterrupted service. |

| This pump works great. A sponge filter was inserted into the filter cage to help it to filter our pond. The water in the pond is crystal clear. |
